This folder contains the 1891 diary of Everett N. Pickel. He writes of his work as a prescription clerk at Poley & Company and his involvements in the Sunday school at the Boulder Presbyterian church, and describes the State Sunday School Convention held at Pueblo, Colorado, June 16-19. The folder also contains notes made in 1966 by Dr. Raymond Carey and an assignment sheet with a transcript of diary excerpts that Carey gave his history seminar at the University of Denver. In his diary, Pickel notes the daily weather, mail he received and friends who visited, and occasionally mentions current events in Boulder.

Everett Newton Pickel, born on 6 November 1860, was a clerk at Poley and Company's drug store in Boulder, Colorado, which was owned by Cyrus S. Poley.
